If the available disk space of the /var and /sfdata/log directories is insufficient when the update package is uploaded or the upload is in progress, the upgrade will fail.
For the system upgrade, the following disk space requirements must be met:
1. During the update package upload phase: For versions earlier than 8.0.95, the update package can be uploaded only to the /var directory. For 8.0.95 and later versions, the update package can be uploaded to the /sfdata/log directory when the /var directory does not have sufficient space.
2. During the upgrade phase: For 8.0.83 and earlier versions, ensure that the /var directory has at least 580 MB of available space. Otherwise, the upgrade will fail. For versions later than 8.0.83, one of the following conditions must be met:
(1) The available space of the /var directory is greater than twice the update package size, the available space of the /sfdata/log directory is greater than 3 GB, and the available space of the /sfos_back/system directory is greater than 500 MB.
(2) The available space of the /sfdata/log directory is greater than 3 GB, which is greater than twice the update package size, and the available space of the /sfos_back/system directory is greater than 500 MB.
Note:
If the device uses the Arm architecture and will be upgraded to version 8.0.106 or later, there is no need to reserve space for SSL VPN. The available space of the /sfdata/log directory must be greater than 3 GB, and the available space of the /sfos_back/system directory must be greater than 500 MB.
