Athena NGFW (previously known as Network Secure) provides comprehensive protection for every network perimeter, ensuring the safety of your valuable assets, data, and users from emerging threats.
If the error (code: 0004-0001) appears after the pre-upgrade check and the device version is earlier than 8.0.93, go to Policies > Authentication > User Authentication > Authentication Options > Obtain MAC By SNMP to check whether the configuration names specified in the SNMP Servers section are valid. A valid configuration name can contain only letters, digits, underscores (_), and hyphens (-). Please delete or rename any invalid configuration entries and then reinstall the pre-upgrade check package. Note that deleting an invalid entry may cause disconnection from the corresponding SNMP server, which may lead to business interruptions. To ensure business continuity, make sure that the server is not in use before deletion.
If the customer does not want to delete an invalid entry because the corresponding SNMP server is in use, change the name by deleting invalid characters (such as changing public@123 to public123). Note that the configuration name corresponds to the SNMP server name, and both must be changed simultaneously. SNMP servers are usually switches connected to the firewall device.
Note: If a configuration name is changed, the corresponding SNMP server name must also be changed. Otherwise, the SNMP server cannot be found and connected to the firewall device. This will affect the customer's business. If the customer is not sure about how to change configuration names, please contact the service provider or Sangfor technical support.
Notes:
If the device version is 8.0.93 or later, the customer can change configuration names in System > General Settings > Obtain MAC By SNMP.
If the device version is 8.0.93 or later, schema verification is enabled, and an error message appears when a server name contains invalid characters.
