As shown in the following figure, Sangfor's Athena NGFW firewall and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) are connected to the Internet as the enterprise's HQ gateway and branch gateway, respectively. An IPsec VPN tunnel in route mode is established between the Athena NGFW firewall and GCP to secure communication between the PC connected to Athena NGFW and the virtual machine (VM) instance inside GCP.
