As shown in the following figure, Sangfor's Athena Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) and Fortinet firewall are connected to the Internet as the enterprise's headquarters (HQ) gateway and branch gateway, respectively. An Internet Protocol Security (IPsec) virtual private network (VPN) tunnel in route mode is established between the Athena NGFW firewall and the Fortinet firewall to secure communication between PC1 and PC2.
