For a VM with TPM enabled, you can use the file download OpenAPI provided by SCP or HCI to back up the TPM file corresponding to a specific snapshot. When using the file download OpenAPI to back up the TPM file, please note the following:
You must specify the snapshot ID parameter (SCP: snapshot_id on, HCI: snapshotID) to download the TPM file corresponding to the specified snapshot.
If the file download fails and the HTTP status code is 404, the TPM file does not exist (this may occur for VMs that have never been powered on). If the file download fails and the another HTTP status code (such as 500) is returned, the server encountered internal error, and you need to contact the administrator for troubleshooting.
The TPM file is packaged in ZIP format and should be treated as a single entity during backup and recovery operations on SCP or HCI.
