1.Upload Image: Upload the local VM VMA image file to SCP. For permission control, it is recommended that the VMA image of the backup proxy VM be accessible only to platform administrators (currently, tenant permissions for agentless backup OpenAPIs are not yet open). Configuration path: Images > Private VM Images, click Upload, and select "Cloud Platform" in the "Upload To" option.

2.Create VMs: Select "New" to create a VM, select the image uploaded in Step 1 in "Resources", and follow the same steps as creating a regular VM to complete the rapid bulk deployment of backup proxy VMs.
Figure 2-8 Creating Cloud Hosts Using VMA Images
To avoid the backup proxy VM being scheduled to different HCI hosts each time it is powered on (due to dynamic changes in HCI host resources), which affects the scheduling of agentless backup and recovery task, it is recommended to configure the backup proxy VM to a fixed running location. This setting can be completed during VM creation or adjusted when editing the VM later.

Note: SCP provides OpenAPIs for uploading VMA images and creating VMs using VMA images.
