HCI Pre-upgrade Check and Pre-upgrade Package Installation

Scenario

You can perform HCI pre-upgrade check and install the pre-upgrade package without enabling Maintenance Mode on HCI.

  1. This allows you to check the environment before HCI upgrade and install the pre-upgrade package after the check is passed.
  1. You can perform the pre-upgrade check only, or perform the pre-upgrade check multiple times and then install the pre-upgrade package.

Notes

Pre-upgrade check and pre-upgrade package installation do not affect the business.

Steps

  1. Enter aDeploy and select the Pre-change Check tab. Then, click Pre-upgrade Check. On the displayed page, select the target version, enter the required information, make sure that the SSH port is available, and click Start Check.


  1. After the check completes, click Details of a failed entity and fix the issue as recommended until all entities pass the check.

  1. Then, click Install.
