Scenario

aDeploy retains the order of network interfaces before hardware replacement and applies the same order after the replacement. This tool is applicable to aServer only.

Steps

1. Enter aDeploy and click the Toolkit tab.

2. In the Installation and Modification section, click Hardware Replacement.

3. In the pop-up window, enter the node information and click Manual Reorder.

4. Select the hardware replacement operation as needed.

5. The system records the order of network interfaces and then goes to the preparation page.

6. Click Start by powering off the node which then changes to Complete Hardware Replacement. Replace the hardware in the server room, wait for the node to restart, and click Complete Hardware Replacement.

7. In the pop-up window, confirm the information and click OK. Then, restart the node for the order of network interfaces to take effect.

8. If the number of network interfaces decreases after the replacement, a window pops out. Click OK in the pop-up window and manually reorder the network interfaces.
