Sangfor HCI Installation

ISO Installation method

Prerequisites:

a. The PC running aDeploy serves as the PXE server. The HCI needs to be on the same Layer 2 subnet as the PC running aDeploy and must be able to communicate properly.

b. No other DHCP servers reside in the same Layer 2 network.

c. Only one installation tool is running in the same Layer 2 network.

d. Configure the hardware and BIOS of the server that needs to install the system, connect the relevant network cables, and set the server boot Option to Network. After configuring the server, shut it down.

e. HCI version: HCI 6.3.0_R3

  1. Right-click the aDeploy.exe file and select Run as administrator. Next, click Toolkit and select Sangfor HCI Installation. Then click ISO Installation.

  1. Select the local IP address, and enter the DHCP start IP address and netmask. Then click Next.

  1. Upload the HCI image file.

  1. Select the uploaded image file, click Next. Power on servers for installing HCI and wait for aDeploy to connect to the nodes.
    Note:
    The first-time installation will prompt with Network access permission. Click Allow access to proceed.
  2. When aDeploy connects to the nodes, configure the management interface and click Next to retrieve node disk information.

  1. After aDeploy obtains the disk information, which may take about 3 minutes, select a disk.

  1. Wait for the installation process to complete.

  1. When the installation process is complete, the node restarts.


  1. When the node restart is complete, HCI is installed.

Disk Restoration method

Prerequisites:
