VM Security Agent Installation

Precautions:

  1. Supports automatic installation of security agent on the virtual machine, but when the number of remaining licensable virtual machines is insufficient, automatic installation cannot be triggered.
  2. The time for the virtual machine to automatically install the security agent is expected to be within 10 minutes.
  3. Operating systems that do not meet the compatibility whitelist cannot install a security agent.

Steps:

Go to the Security > aSecurity > Security Agent. There are two types of VM.

VMs Without Security Agent Installed and VMs Without vmTools Installed.

1.VMs Without install vmtools will not show under VM without Security Agent Installed.

2.You can check whether the security agent supports the current OS by click the button Oses Supported.

For the VMs under VMs Without Security Agent Installed you can select the VM to need to install the agent then click the install button.

The install button will be gray when the VM is power off.

For the VMs under VMs Without vmTools Installed if check Auto install security agents during vmTools installation the security agent will installed when the VM install the VMtool. If you do not check the Auto install security agents during vmTools installation after installing the vmtool you can go back here locate the VM under VMs Without Security Agent Installed and click install button to install it.
