Back up the relevant configuration of the system and restore it in case of any problems occur. System configuration includes:

• aSV cluster configuration.

• User (including user password, please be careful when selecting).

• Virtual machine backup strategy.

• High Availability (HA) configuration.

• Automated Hot Add Configurations

• User Experience Improvement Program.

• Time synchronization settings.

• Alarm conditions.

• Resource Scheduling configuration.

• Restore the NUMA configuration.

Steps

Login to HCI Navigate to System > System Backup and Restore click Cluster Configuration Backup.

Backup: click the Backup button and the system will generate a backup immediately.

Configure Backup Policy: In this field you can set the backup schedule as once a week or once day, then select specific time, Backup Retention Period and the Backup Repository. If the desired datastore is not listed here or its available space is not enough you can add a datastore to backup repositories, by clicking the button Backup Repositories.

Delete All Backups: By clicking Delete All Backups button then enter the admin account’s password you can delete all the backups.
