For virtual machines with business dependencies, you can set their startup order. For example, the business of virtual machine A depends on the normal operation of virtual machine B before it can be used; otherwise, it will result in an error. In this case, you can set the startup policy so that virtual machine B is powered only after virtual machine A has successfully started.
Steps:
Steps 1: Select resource pool. Login to SCP go to Reliability > VM Scheduling > Scheduling Policies select the resource pool
Steps 2: Click Add Virtual Machine, select the VM and click OK.
When creating a policy, if there are already existing policy, you can select the previously created policy in the Priority section and then choose Higher or Lower than the existing policy in the subsequent selection box.
If you no longer need a certain policy, you can select the corresponding policy and click the Delete button, in the pop-up windows click OK.
You can also adjust the policy’s order by clicking the Move button and then selecting the move action.
