Third-Party Public Cloud Management

{{ $t('productDocDetail.updateTime') }}: 2025-12-18

SCP supports managing AWS Cloud and adding its regions as cloud environments. The created cloud environments can be allocated to tenants to use the Elastic Compute Service (ECS) of Alibaba Cloud directly on SCP.

Precautions:

It is not supported to manage the same cloud environment with different access keys of an AWS Cloud account.

Prerequisite:

The SCP IP address can communicate with the internet.

An access key ID and secret access key of an AWS Cloud account have been obtained, which are unique credentials for accessing AWS Cloud APIs. The secret access key works like a login password and serves to sign the access parameters to prevent them from being tampered with. You can log in to the AWS Cloud console to get the Access Keys.

Steps:

Step 1: Login to SCP go to Resource Overview > Third-Party Public Cloud > Cloud Environment > New.

Step 2: Add an account as follows:

Type: AWS.

Add Account: Select Create one (Use existing one can be selected subsequently).

Account Name: Custom Cloud Account.

Access Key ID: Obtain from the customer.

Secret Access Key: Obtain from the customer.

Sync Interval: Resources allocated to the account by Alibaba Cloud will be synced to SCP at a specified interval, which is 60 minutes by default. The shorter the interval is, the more SCP resources will be occupied.

Step 3: Click Next and select the region where the customer’s VMs on AWS Cloud are located to create the cloud environment.
