After the HCI cluster deploy is complete, you can initiate the storage uses for the HCI cluster. For the details you can refer to the storage service[SZ1].

1. Installation Procedure
   

SCP does not support deployment on VMware platforms and physical machines.

2. Software package preparation:

Recommended configuration:

Many factors affect SCP performance, including the number of tenants, users, concurrent users (the number of users who log in to the SCP simultaneously), managed clusters, physical nodes, and virtual machines, depending on the scale of the cloud platform. Therefore, it is recommended to use the following configuration for SCP virtual machine.

Prepare the IP address of the SCP on the same network segment as the HCI management interface.

Steps:

Step 1: Log in to the HCI platform console.

Step 2: Click Compute > New > Import VM.

Step 3: File Type select OVA or VMA, in the VM Image File filed click the icon Select the SCP Image File, then according to your environment select the Group, Datastore, and Run Location. For the HA filed please do not check Restart VM on another node if the node fails (because no license currently, after the SCP created successfully you can login HCI go to Compute page locate the SCP and edit it, in the HA filed check the Restart VM on another node if the node fails option). Storage Policy keeps default. After that, click Import and wait for the upload and SCP to be created complete.

During the upload and create process, please do not close the related page.

Step 4: After the import complete click Summary, select the newly imported SCP virtual machine, click Edit to edit the NIC, select eth0 in the Connect to filed click the icon , select the Edges or Switches that can connect the network with the management network, and click OK and then click OK in the new page.

Step 5: Click the Power on button, after SCP power on successfully (the console button will turn bright) click console. press Change to enter Maintenance mode and then enter the password (the initial password is admin). After the password is entered, select OK press enter to enter the configuration interface.

Step 6: Select Configure Network select OK press Enter. Select eth0 select OK press Enter. Fill out the IP, Netmask and Gateway select OK press enter.

Step 7: Set the IP address, netmask, gateway and select OK press enter.

Step 8: After the network set successfully select OK press enter. Open a browser, browse https://SCP IP:4430. Username/Email fill in admin and fill in the password, check I have read and accept the EULA |DPA click OK.
