Computing resources: CPU usage trend and memory usage trend. The CPU usage trend metric focuses on whether the CPU usage of VMs is consistently above 90% or the CPU usage of nodes is consistently above 85%. If yes, it is recommended to scale out CPU resources. The memory usage trend metric focuses on whether the memory usage of VMs is consistently above 90% or the memory usage of nodes is consistently above 85%. If yes, it is recommended to scale out memory resources. You can adjust the thresholds based on the priorities of your business. For example, you can set the alerting threshold to 80% for VMs running core businesses, ensuring that the VMs have sufficient buffer to ensure business stability.
Storage resources: IOPS, IO speed trend, and disk usage trend. These metrics focus on whether the disk usage of VMs is consistently above 90%. If yes, it is recommended to scale out disk resources.
Network resources: Throughput trend, throughput (pps) trend, and internet throughput trend. These metrics focus on whether the bandwidth usage reaches 80% of the maximum bandwidth of interfaces. For example, the maximum bandwidth of a 1 Gbit/s network is 112 MB/s to 117.5 MB/s. When the bandwidth usage exceeds 80%, a network bandwidth bottleneck occurs.
