Guide tenants to upload or create private VM images.

Precautions:

Tenants have sufficient private VM image repository quota.

Steps

Upload an ISO image.

• Go to https://SCP IP, log in tenant account, select Image, select Private VM Images, then click Upload.

• Select the local image file (ISO), Operating System, Resource Pool, and then click Upload.

• After the upload is complete, click the Finish button to continue uploading or click the Close button.

Make Built-in Image

• Go to https://SCP IP, log in to the tenant account, navigate to Compute, and then select Virtual Machine. Next, select the virtual machine that has vmTools installed.

• Click More, select Edit. It is recommended to enable CPU hot add and memory hot add in Advanced.

• Click More, select Create Image, then fill up the name of the image and description. Then, select the type of operating system and the resource pool, and click OK to begin the image creation.
