Introduction

When the primary site recovers from the disaster, you can migrate the VMs on the secondary site back to the primary site.

Precautions

During the migration, follow the on-screen instructions to shut down the VMs on the secondary site.

Prerequisites

The primary site recovers from the disaster.

Procedure

1. Go to Resources > Disaster Recovery > Disaster Recovery > Recovery Plan, select the protection group on which you want to perform a failback, and click Migration to Primary Site above the list.

2. You can specify the data sync interval, the threshold for triggering data sync, and VM shutdown waiting time.

3. Select the location to which the VMs are migrated and click OK.

4. During the migration, Waiting for shutdown will be displayed on the page. You need to manually shut down the protected VMs so that the migration can continue.
5. After the migration is complete, select the protection group and click Download to view the detailed migration report. You can configure subscription settings to send the report to the specified email address.
