An HCI cluster is deployed in each of the two data centers. To ensure the business continuity of the primary site cluster, configure a DR policy for the VMs in the primary site cluster to transmit backup data to the secondary site cluster. The RPO of this mode varies depending on the link type, bandwidth, and distance between the two data centers, the service type, and the volume of incremental data.

If the primary site is healthy, you can use scheduled recovery to shut down the protected VMs on the primary site and then sync incremental data to the secondary site. Then, power on the protected VMs on the secondary site. If the primary site is already crashed, initiate a DR workflow to directly power on the protected VMs on the secondary site.
