This mode can address the issue that the service downtime is excessively long when a single VM is faulty. When a single VM is down, the platform can use a local BP on the primary site to recover the VM by creating a new VM or overwriting the faulty VM.
Create a new VM: A new VM is created based on a local BP. The faulty VM is not affected. To avoid IP conflicts with the faulty VM, you must manually connect the new VM to the network. The new VM is assigned a new hardware ID. If the OS or software of the new VM requires hardware information for licensing, you need to acquire a new license for the VM or use the method that overwrites the faulty VM.
Overwrite the faulty VM: The faulty VM is shut down and deleted. The faulty VM can be recovered within 30 days by contacting technical support. The VM will be permanently deleted after 30 days. This method does not change the virtual hardware information of the VM. After the VM is recovered, its network status remains unchanged.
