QWhat is the maximum limit for snapshots?

AStorage Snapshots: Starting from the standard version HCI 6.0.1, virtual storage with three or more hyper-converged hosts supports storage snapshots. The maximum number of storage snapshots allowed is 48.

Disk Snapshots: As of the standard version HCI 6.9.0, the total number of manual snapshots for hyper-converged virtual machines shall not exceed 7. To create new snapshots, delete some existing ones first before performing the snapshot operation.

Consistent Snapshots: Consistent group snapshots have a limit on the number of disks. The total number of disks of virtual machines in a consistency group shall not exceed 64.

QCan virtual shared disks take snapshots?

AVirtual shared disks can be associated with a consistent snapshot group, and snapshots are implemented through the consistent snapshot group.

QIf a virtual machine is infected with ransomware, can it be recovered via snapshots or backups?

AIf a virtual machine is infected with ransomware, it can be recovered via snapshots or backups only if the snapshots/backups were created before the ransomware infection.
