1. Policy conflict: A virtual machine can only belong to one backup policy or CDP policy at a time.
2. Total backup space ≈ Initial full backup size + (daily data change volume × backup retention days).
3. The destination storage supports aSAN, FC storage, iSCSI storage, local storage and NFS storage.
4. Backup target storage space: It is recommended that the backup space utilization rate be lower than 80%.
5. Enable the scheduled backup policy for virtual machines required for data protection, and back them up on external storage.
6. It is recommended to use enterprise-class block and NAS storage.
7. The first backup is a full backup. Other backups within the backup retention period are incremental backups.
8. Only one full backup is retained in each backup retention period, and the system will automatically merge the first full backup and multiple incremental backups into a new full backup at the start of the next backup retention period.
9. The virtual machine can be quickly pulled up during backup and recovery when the backup repository is virtual storage, FC storage, or iSCSI storage.
10. A backup is unavailable if all disks in the backup are unavailable, partly available if some disks are unavailable, and pass if all disks are available.
