Storage Remove

Precaution:

Deleting storage is a risky operation. Before deleting the corresponding storage, please ensure that there is no data you need on it to prevent data loss.

FC/iSCSI:

Log in to the SCP management platform. Go to Resource Center to select the resource pool, click Storage > External Storage >External Storage List locate the FC or iSCSI you want remove. Move to the far right and click the button, click Edit Storage Tag select None click OK. Waiting for the task to be complete. Then click the again select Remove, in pop-up window enter the super administrator’s password click OK. If you check Clear data, VMs running on this datastore will be shut down; ISO images stored on this datastore will be unmounted from VMs using them; all VMs using shared virtual disks in the datastore will be shut down and disassociated from these disks. If VMs running on the datastore are encrypted, they cannot be recovered or started when the datastore is mounted to other clusters.

NFS:

Log in to the SCP management platform. Go to Resource Center to select the resource pool, click Storage > External Storage >External Storage List locate the NFS you want to remove. Move to the far right and click Remove, enter the super administrator’s password click OK. If you check Clear data, VMs running on this datastore will be shut down; ISO images stored on this datastore will be unmounted from VMs using them; all VMs using shared virtual disks in the datastore will be shut down and disassociated from these disks. If VMs running on the datastore are encrypted, they cannot be recovered or started when the datastore is mounted to other clusters.
