Migration verification

{{ $t('productDocDetail.updateTime') }}: 2025-12-17

To ensure all business systems migrated to the Sangfor Hyper-Converged platform are functionally complete, perform stably, have consistent data, it’s important to verificate and validate  after migration. Here are common checklist for verification.

  1. Infrastructure & Platform

VM Status: VM is "Powered On" in HCI and host/cluster is healthy.

Network Configuration: VM has correct IP and can ping gateway and core DNS/server.

Storage: All disks are attached and visible within the OS.

  1. Operating System

System Logs: No new Critical/Error events in Windows Event Viewer or Linux system logs (/var/log/messages).

Drivers and Services: All required Windows/Linux services are running.

Data Integrity: Spot-check critical files/folders for accessibility and correctness.

  1. Application

Application Services: Application processes (e.g., IIS, Tomcat, SQL Server) are running.

Port Listening: Application is listening on expected ports.

Core Functionality: End-to-end test of primary business workflows (e.g., user login, place order, generate report) is successful.

  1. Performance & Business

Performance Baseline: Key metrics (CPU, Memory, Disk IO) in HCI monitor are within acceptable range and comparable to source.

High Availability (if configured): VM can reboot successfully on another host during a test.
