• The number of virtual disks should generally match the original business system and should not be altered without specific justification.
• Disk capacity should be assessed based on current data volume. If the utilization of a single disk exceeds 70%, adjust the configuration using the following algorithm:
Adjusted Configuration Size ≈ Current Used Space + (Daily Data Increment * 365 * 3)(Reserving 3 to 5 years of growth is recommended).
• The disk format (e.g., Thick/Thin Provisioning) should be evaluated based on the performance requirements of the business system. For critical systems with high performance demands, use a pre-allocated (Thick Provisioned) format. For non-critical systems, a dynamically allocated (Thin Provisioned) format is recommended.
• Disks containing database files should be pre-allocated to improve I/O throughput.
• Note:Cluster-deployed databases cannot be migrated using P2V (Physical-to-Virtual) methods. Please consult a professional DBA for data plane migration.
