During migration, required network latency within 50ms and packet loss within 5% between source to the destination HCI cluster.
During data migration, the network plays a decisive role in migration speed. To accelerate migration, it is recommended to use a 10 Gigabit Ethernet network.
When the target end connects with Sangfor HCI, the SCMT is required to have access to port 443 of the HCI cluster IP.
Based on the network conditions, it’s devided to 2 modes: Active Mode and Passive Mode.
• Active Mode:This mode is used when the source can directly access the SCMP. In this case, use the Actively Connected Agent to install the agent on the source machine. This agent actively initiates communication with SCMP, facilitating the collection of OS information and the execution of migration commands.
• Passive Mode:This mode is designed for NAT environments where the agent cannot be directly reached by the migration platform. In this scenario, use the Passively Connected Agent to install the agent on the source machine. The SCMP actively initiates communication with this passive agent, which subsequently performs the OS information collection and carries out the migration commands.
