Introduction
Network node settings are used to enable or disable nodes in the resource pool as network nodes. Only enabled nodes can host network devices, such as routers and virtual switches, and support deployment and access control for network services.
Constraints and Restrictions
• To disable a network node with running routers, migrate the routers to another enabled network node first.
• If the virtual switches connected to a network node have been associated with a VPC gateway or shared service network gateway, the switches must be disconnected from the node before the node can be disabled.
• Retain at least 1 enabled network node in a resource pool. Otherwise, network devices cannot be deployed in the resource pool.
Prerequisites
• A resource pool has been created and contains nodes.
• Confirm that no routers are running on the network node that needs to be disabled, or that running routers on the node can be migrated to another node.
Precautions
• To ensure network service stability, it is recommended to enable network nodes with higher performance.
• To prevent configuration loss, back up the network configuration (such as virtual switch port groups) on a node before the node is disabled.
Steps
Step 1.Go to Networking > Topology and click Network Node Settings. The Network Node Settings pop-up window appears.
Step 2.Select the target resource pool (such as Hygon Cluster (c86)), find the target network node, and set its status to enabled or disabled in the Network Node Status column.
Step 3.If routers are running the node that you want to disable, the system will prompt you to migrate the routers first. Perform the following operations as prompted (skip this step if migration is not required): Go to the editing page of each router, change the run location to another enabled network node, and save the changes. Go back to the Network Node Settings pop-up window.
Step 4.Click OK to save the changes.
