Direct connect gateway: A dedicated channel connecting a resource pool and a virtual switch, used to enable direct communication across resource pools or tenants.

Network node: A node that can host network devices (such as routers and virtual switches) in a resource pool. You can deploy network services on a node only after it is enabled.

Connectivity test: A test that is designed to check the network reachability between the source object (a VM or IP address) and the destination object (an IP address) by sending ICMP or other types of packets.

NFV device: A device with a virtualized network function, such as NGAF, ADC, or SSL VPN. You can add NFV devices to the topology and configure their associations.
