Introduction

When a VM's business attribute or project attribute changes (Example: a test VM is transferred to the production environment), you can move the VM to the target group by using the group change feature. This maintains logical resource organization and facilitates subsequent group-based operations such as permission control and resource statistics.

Steps

Step 1.Log in to SCP and go to Resource Center > VMs.

Step 2.Choose one of the following methods to go to the Change Group page:

• Method 1: Locate the VM you want to edit, click the more options button (···) in the Operation column and select Change Group.

• Method 2: To bulk change group for VMs, select the VMs you want to edit, click More above the list, and select New Group.

Step 3.Select target group: In the group selection drop-down list, expand the cluster directory and select the target group (supports searching by group name for quick locating).

Step 4.Click OK to complete moving the VM to the target group.
