Introduction

Grouping is a logical categorization tool for VMs. It enables the management of VMs by groups based on dimensions such as business line, project, or environment (Example: Financial Business Group, E-commerce Test Group). This facilitates performing bulk operations on VMs such as powering on, powering off, or migrating VMs, thereby improving resource management efficiency.

Steps

Step 1.Log in to SCP and go to Resource Center > VMs.

Step 2.Choose one of the following methods to go to the Create Group page:

• Method : To bulk create group for VMs, select the VMs you want to edit, click More above the list, and select New Group.

Step 3.Configure group information: In the Location drop-down list in the New Group pop-up window, select the cluster to which the group belongs (Example: VM/HCI Cluster - 6.10.0_199 (X86)).

Step 4.Enter the Group Name and click OK to complete the group creation.
