Create Tag
Introduction
Tag serves as an identification tool for a VM. VMs are categorized by using nouns (Example: AI Resource Pool tags VMs for AI services, Beijing Region tags VMs in Beijing, LIS System tags VMs for laboratory information systems). Tags facilitate quick filtering and management of resources based on dimensions such as business, region, and system.
• Tag management: Tags are centrally managed in the Tags section on the left-side of the Resource Center page. Supports creating and deleting tags.
• Binding: You can bind tags to VMs when the VM is being created or bind existing tags to VMs after they have been created.
Steps
Step 1.Log in to SCP and go to Resource Center > VMs.
Step 2.Choose one of the following methods to bind a tag to a VM:
• Method 1: Locate the VM you want to edit, click the more options button (···) in the Operation column and select Tags.
• Method 2: To bulk bind tag for VMs, select the VMs you want to edit, click More above the list, and select Tags.
Step 3.You can perform the following operations on a VM tag in the Tag pop-up window: View: View available tags (Example: AI Resource Pool, Beijing) in the tag list.
Step 4.Add: For details, see the Tag Management section of SCP - Resource Management Guide. Enter the tag name, and click OK.
When you add multiple tags to a VM, tag names must be unique.
Step 5.Delete: Deselect the tags in the Tag pop-up window and click OK to unbind the tags from a VM.
