Deleting a VM releases resources that are no longer needed, which reduces costs. This operation applies to scenarios like business decommissioning (such as when a business system stops operating and the corresponding VM needs to be deleted) and test resource clearing (such as deleting temporary test VMs after the test is complete).
Precautions
If a VM has the billing service activated, it will continue to be billed as in powered-off status after deletion. All VM-related configuration will be cleared, and only backup files will be retained. Running VMs cannot be deleted directly. Power off the VMs before deletion.
Steps
Step 1.Log in to SCP and go to Resource Center > VMs.
Step 2.Delete VMs by one of the following means:
• Method 1: Find the VM that you want to delete, click the more options button (···) in the Operation column, and select Delete.
• Method 2: To delete multiple VMs at a time, select the VMs, click More above the list, and select Delete.
Step 3.In the confirmation dialog, click OK. Deleted VMs will be moved to Recycle Bin. You can go to Recycle Bin to recover them or check the retention days.
Result Verification
Step 1.Go to Management > Recycle Bin to check the list of deleted VMs and confirm that the selected VMs have been successfully deleted and moved to Recycle Bin.
