Power-Off

{{ $t('productDocDetail.updateTime') }}: 2025-12-18

Introduction

Powering off a VM stops its operation and releases resources for hardware maintenance, software updates, or temporary business suspension. Typical scenarios include applying system SPs, replacing hardware components, and shutting down test VMs temporarily to save resources.

Precautions

Before you power off a VM, confirm that the business services running on the VM have been paused properly to avoid service interruptions.

Steps

Step 1.Log in to SCP and go to Resource Center > VMs.

Step 2. Power off VMs by one of the following means:

Method 1: Find the VM that you want to power off, click the more options button (···) in the Operation column, and select Power Off.

Method 2: To power off multiple VMs at a time, select the VMs and click Power Off above the list.

Step 3. In the confirmation dialog, click OK.

Result Verification

Step 1.In the VM list, check the Status column. If Off is displayed for the VMs, the operation has taken effect.

Step 2.You can also click the name of a VM to go to the VM details page. If CPU Usage and Memory Usage are 0% in the Resource Status section, the VM has been powered off successfully.---- Finish
