Powering on a VM restores business services that were previously stopped on the VM. This is common when a VM is shut down for maintenance or resource release and needs to come back online (such as restarting a test VM to verify features or bringing a production VM back online after routine maintenance).
Precautions
Before you power on a VM, confirm that all dependent services are ready. Otherwise, business services on the VM may fail to start properly.
Steps
Step 1.Log in to SCP and go to Resource Center > VMs.
Step 2. Power on VMs by one of the following means:
• Method 1: Find the VM that you want to power on, click the more options button (···) in the Operation column, and select Power On.
• Method 2: To power on multiple VMs at a time, select the VMs and click Power On above the list.
Step 3. In the confirmation dialog, click OK.
Result Verification
Step 1.In the VM list, check the Status column. If On is displayed for the VMs, the operation has taken effect.
Step 2.You can also click the name of a VM to go to the VM details page. Check the data of CPUs, memory, and other resources in the Resource Status section to confirm that the VM has been powered on successfully.---- Finish
