SCP supports flexible licensing models to accommodate various deployment scales and product components.
Unified SCP Licensing: This model uses a USB key and license file to activate all Sangfor Cloud products managed by SCP. The USB key is mapped to SCP via an HCI host, and the corresponding license file is imported to activate product licenses.
Individual HCI Licensing: Individual HCI clusters can be licensed separately while remaining under SCP’s unified management, offering flexibility for specific cluster licensing needs.
Licensing for SCP: SCP is activated automatically if the imported license file includes the appropriate SCP license.
Licensing for HCI Clusters: Licenses for HCI clusters are pooled, allowing dynamic allocation and reclamation across clusters. This provides flexibility to redistribute licenses as business needs change.
Licensing for Security and Advanced Components: The license file includes entitlements for security components (e.g., vNGAF, vADC) and advanced features (e.g., CDP). Users can create virtual devices up to the licensed quantities.
vKEY Licensing: SCP 6.8.0 and later support software-based vKEY licensing, eliminating dependence on physical USB keys and simplifying license updates and management.
