Configure the vNGFW

{{ $t('productDocDetail.updateTime') }}: 2025-12-18
  1. Wait for VM creation to complete.
  2. The default IP address of the eth0 interface of the virtual Network Secure device is a static IP address (10.251.251.251/24). To assign an IP address to it, you need to connect a PC in the same network segment to the virtual Network Secure device.

  1. After the virtual machine is powered on, Try to find a client operating system that directly connects to the vNGFW and configure an address in the same network segment as 10.251.251.251, then use a browser to access https://10.251.251.251, and log in to Network Secure using the defult username (admin) and password (admin).

For configuration steps, please refer to User manual 8.0.95, sections 2.1.6 and 2.1.7, and other chapters.

Note: After configuring the IP, if there is a ping failure and the physical network port status is confirmed to be UP, entering the firewall CLI to check the network port status reveals that it is down again

You can try changing the adapter type: default is VMXET3, replace with E1000 (some special CPUs may have compatibility issues, changing the adapter type can solve this problem)
