Before configuring the policy, the Unauthorized Outbound Access detection feature must be enabled.

After enabling the feature, click Add to add the NIC Detection Policy.

Name: Fill in the name of the policy.

Description: Add the description of the policy (optional).

Applicable IPs: Enter the IP range to be scanned.

Detection Objects: Choose which types of network cards to detect, such as Multiple NICs, Wireless NICs, and 4G/5G NICs.

Detection Method: Choose either Immediate Detection or Scheduled Detection.

Advanced:

The Advanced settings mainly configure false positives and speed up scanning.

Enable detection for assets with no traffic received and sent: Athena NGFW will use multiple cores to process scanning tasks, thereby speeding up the scanning process. By default, only one core is used for scanning.

NIC Detection Whitelist Settings: Whitelist false positives or unnoticed IP addresses.
