Integration Limits

{{ $t('productDocDetail.updateTime') }}: 2026-02-05

Before you integrate the Athena NGFW device with other platforms, pay attention to the following limits:

  1. Do not integrate the Athena NGFW device with the same platform more than once.
  2. Do not integrate the Athena NGFW device with both the SaaS and on-premises versions of the same platform. For example, Athena XDR has a SaaS version and an on-premises version, and the Athena NGFW device can integrate with only one of them.
  3. Do not integrate the Athena NGFW device with multiple platforms that use the same integration channel. Otherwise, conflicts may occur. For more information, see the table below.

Specifically:

Athena NGFW integrates with the following platforms through the Xlink channel: Platform-X, SaaS XDR, SaaS EPP, MDR, GPT-Based Phishing Email Protection, and on-premises XDR that uses the connection key as the integration method.

Athena integrates with the following platforms through the BBC_SDK channel: on-premises XDR that uses the account and password as the integration method, on-premises MDR, and Central Manager.

For example, the Athena NGFW device cannot integrate with both Platform-X and on-premises XDR that uses the connection key as the integration method, because these two platforms both use the Xlink channel as the integration channel.

For example, the Athena NGFW device is already integrated with Platform-X. In this case, if you want to further integrate Athena NGFW with on-premises XDR, you can integrate it with on-premises XDR that uses the account and password as the integration method. This is because the integration in this scenario uses the BBC_SDK channel, which does not conflict with Platform-X that uses the Xlink channel.

  1. Special case: Do not integrate the Athena NGFW device with both on-premises MDR and Athena XDR, regardless of whether Athena XDR is a SaaS or on-premises version.
  2. The following table describes the integration conflicts in detail.

Green marks indicate that the two platforms can be integrated at the same time, and yellow marks indicate that there is a conflict and they cannot be integrated at the same time.
