Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) is an interior gateway protocol (IGP) for making routing decisions within a single autonomous system (AS). It is an implementation of the link-state routing protocol. OSPF supports load balancing, service type-based path selection, and diverse routing types such as host routing and subnet routing. Athena NGFW devices support OSPFv2 and OSPFv3.
