Asset Discovery is used for identifying assets to obtain their IP addresses, vendors, types, and other information. The obtained asset information is displayed on the Assets page. Asset Scope defines the scope for asset discovery. When Enable endpoint traffic identification is selected, Athena NGFW passively discovers assets within the specified scope by identifying traffic. When Enable active endpoint scan is selected, Athena NGFW actively scans assets within the specified scope to obtain asset information by sending packets. Do not check the two options at the same time.
