HCI 6.11.1R1 introduces no new features, it only includes version optimizations. The specific optimization items are as follows:
- Snapshot Merge Optimization
Resolves the issue of snapshot merge tasks getting stuck or running slowly after frequent creation and deletion of snapshots. After optimization, snapshot merge tasks will no longer be stuck and will properly release space.
- Network Card Driver Version Upgrade (Network interface cards produced by Beijing Wangxun Technology Co., Ltd.)
Upgrades the network card driver for the 10GbE network cards to resolve data issues in aSAN scenario that may occur due to outdated network card drivers.
- HCI External Storage LUN Mount Detection and Confirmation Mechanism.
Adds a detection and confirmation mechanism for mounting external storage LUNs on HCI to prevent accidental operations that mount a LUN already in use by VMware to HCI, which could lead to data corruption.
- Upgrade issue
Resolve the issue where, in scenarios where using aHM to migrate virtual machines to the HCI cluster fails, there is a probability that it could cause the rolling upgrade of the HCI cluster to fail.
- VMware VM Compatibility issue.
Fixes the issue where compatibility settings fail after migrating VMware VMs.
- VM HA Triggered Due to Migration Parameter Mismatch.
Resolves the issue where VM HA is triggered after VM migration due to inconsistent migration parameters between the source and destination.
- Extended Upgrade Support in 6.11.1R1
Compared to the 6.11.1 version, 6.11.1R1 introduces support for upgrading a broader range of lower versions, with the earliest supported version being 600_R5 for direct cold upgrade to 6.11.1R1.
- Witness node Initialization Issue.
Fix the issue where a system cannot start properly if the arbitration box is restarted before it is initialized after a fresh installation. This ensures that initialization can continue after a restart.
- Resolves the issue of HCI system backup failure during upgrades in dual-primary node scenarios.
- Upgrade Check Task Stuck in Backend.
Resolves the issue where tasks in the upgrade check backend cannot exit, preventing nodes entry into maintenance mode.
- VM Group modify and Memory Overuse Issue.
Fixes the issue in VM group modify scenarios where inaccurate memory calculations cause excessive memory usage in cgroups, preventing VMs from power on.
- Vxlan error.
Resolve the issue where, in scenarios with witness nodes in the cluster, using health check the VXLAN interface results in an error.
- Network Outage Due to Missing HA on virtual router after node Offline
Resolve the issue where the tenant loses network connectivity due to the virtual router not having HA after the node goes offline.
