SCP supports KEY-less licensing. In case of hardware KEY loss and failure, it will not affect cluster usage. By using vKEY, the user does not need to send back and re-apply for the USB KEY in the license change scenario, improving the work efficiency.
Precautions:
Only SCP6.8.0 and later versions support the vKEY licensing mode.
USB KEY and vKEY licensing cannot exist at the same time.
For the upgrade scenarios of SCP6.8.0 and earlier versions, the USB KEY mode is used by default, and the licensing mode can be switched after the upgrade. When replacing, you need to contact Sangfor technical support for the licensing file and send the USB KEY back to Sangfor.
After switching the licensing mode, the original USB KEY will be invalid.
vKEY licensing only supports offline licensing, and online licensing is currently not supported.
When SCP6.8.0 uses the vKEY licensing mode, the HCI cluster where the SCP runs should be HCI6.1.0 and later versions.
When SCP failover is configured, if the active/standby switchover occurs, you need to re-apply for licensing to import to the standby node according to the licensing application process.
Prerequisite:
None.
Steps:
Step 1.Go to System > Licensing > Platform License, and click Update License Key to get the Confirmation Code.
Step 2.Copy the confirmation code.
Step 3.Go to the Sangfor Licensing Server, log in to the platform to import device information, and obtain the licensing file. You can click Help Information in the upper right corner to obtain detailed operation instructions for the licensing file.
Step 4.Import the obtained licensing file into the platform to complete the licensing activation.
