DMP Environment Deployment (Optional)

Sangfor Database Management Platform (DMP) is a database service product that provides Relational Database Service (RDS) capabilities for private clouds and graphical management.

Make sure that DMP is deployed after the deployment of HCI and SCP so that the IP address configured for DMP does not conflict with those of other hosts.

Prerequisites

  1. HCI and SCP of the correct versions have been properly deployed.
  2. IP addresses prepared for DMP are on the same network segment as (or are connected to) the SCP management interface.
  3. The DMP image package, database image package, and database load balancing image package are prepared.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the SCP console by using the admin account.
  2. Go to Resources > Compute > Images. Select Network Device Images and upload the database load balancing image. Select Advanced Service Images and upload the database platform image and database image.
  3. Go to Networking > Shared Service Network and click Gateway to specify a shared service gateway.
  4. Go to Networking > IP and Bandwidth and click New. In the Create Elastic IP Pool pop-up window, specify the information and select Shared Network Service for Line Type.
  5. Go to Networking > Network Deployment and select VPC Gateway to configure a VPC gateway as required.
  6. Go to Resources > Database > MySQL and click Activate Now to activate the DMP service. Enter the information as well as the management IP address and internal communication IP address.
  7. Log in to the DMP console and apply for a license.
  8. Go to Users and Access Management > Users > Tenants in the SCP console, click New, and configure a VPC.
  9. Go to Edit Resource Quota > Tenant Quota in the SCP console and allocate quotas to the tenant. If no quota is specified in the resource pool, go to Edit Resource Quota > Quota Overview and specify quotas.

DMP can only be deployed on SCP as an uploaded image. It cannot be deployed independently.
