Function Description
On the Service Packs tab, you can view the information about a service pack, including:
• Service Pack Name, for example, sp-xxx-xxx.
• Status, for example, Not Downloaded, Downloading, Downloaded, Updating, and Updated.
• Description, for example, this service pack fixed the xxx issue.
• Severity, for example, High, Medium, and Low.
• Prerequisites, for example, the VM needs (or does not need to be) shut down.
• Impact, for example, the network will not be interrupted or will be interrupted for xx seconds.
• Released On, for example, October 20, 2020.
• Operation, for example, Update and Retry.
Precautions
- If HCI is connected to the Internet directly or via a network proxy VM or third-party proxy, Online Service Pack Center will be accessible, and service pack information required by HCI can be obtained automatically at regular intervals or manually obtained by clicking the Obtain Service Pack button.
- If Use the service pack server at the local data center is selected for the communication method, service pack information is automatically obtained at regular intervals or manually obtained by clicking the Obtain Service Pack button from this service pack server.

Procedure
- Go to System > Online Service Packs and select the Service Packs tab.
- Click Service Pack Settings to specify the update method.
SP without Update Impact:
• Installation of SPs will not affect VMs and services on HCI.
• SP Installation: It can be set to Automatic or Manual. If you select Automatic, service packs will be installed automatically between 01:00 AM and 06:00 AM every day.
SP with Update Impact:
• Installation of SPs may affect VMs and services on HCI. You need to confirm the impact and choose a suitable time to perform the update manually.
• SP Installation: It can be set to Manual only.
- Then, click OK.
- Click Check for Updates to obtain service packs required by HCI.
