Modify Platform Date and Time

Description

When the platform time is inconsistent with the real-time, the platform date and time need to be modified. HCI 6.11.0 and higher versions support selecting time zones that support daylight saving time (DST).

Precautions

None.

Prerequisites

The platform needs to communicate with the external NTP server network.

Steps

  1. Navigate to System > Date & Time.

  1. Click Change to modify the time.

  1. Here you can fine-tune the time manually or configure the time of the platform by Sync with Local PC. It is also possible to modify the time zone of the platform.

  1. If you want to synchronize the platform time with the internal NTP server, you only need to check the Sync Time with NTP server checkbox and modify the Server, then click Save.

  1. By default, the guest time of VMs will be synchronized with the cluster when they are powered on. When the Periodic sync option is checked, and Regularly sync guest time with node is enabled for a VM, the guest time of the VM will also be synchronized periodically.
