Modifying the Cluster IP Address

Description

There are two cases for modifying the cluster IP address:

  1. Only modify the cluster IP address.
  2. Modify the IP address of the node management communication interface and the cluster IP address in the cluster.

Precautions

  1. After modifying the node's IP address in the cluster, you need to use the new IP to log in. You may need to change the switch's configuration and modify the corresponding VLAN.
  2. When only the cluster IP address is modified, ensure that the modified IP is in the same network segment as the original cluster IP.
  3. When both the node management interface IP and cluster IP need to be modified, ensure that the management interface IP and cluster IP are in the same network segment.

Prerequisites

The switch needs to be configured accordingly, and a network engineer should be reserved for the switch configuration.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Nodes > Communication  Interfaces > Management Interface > Cluster IP Address.

  1. If the IP address of the cluster is to be modified and the existing IP address is in the same network segment, you can modify it directly and skip steps 3 and 4. Suppose you want to modify the IP address of the node in the cluster to be on a different network segment. In that case, you need to delete the configuration information of the cluster IP address first, save the changes, and proceed to steps 3 and 4.

  1. And then click OK.
  2. Modify the IP address of the management communication port, and then configure information about the cluster IP address.
