There are two data centers, “SCP-1” and “SCP-2”. The goal is to replicate the NetBackup backups from “SCP-1” to “SCP-2”. It is expected that the synchronized backup data can be discovered and restored in “SCP-2”.

When using this feature, the primary master server of “NetBackup-Primary” must add the master server of “NetBackup-Secondary” as a trusted master server. Additionally, in “NetBackup-Primary,” the “Storage-Destination” must be configured as the replication target of the “Storage-Source.”

To enable SCP-2 to discover backups created by other clients, execute the following command on the main server terminal of NetBackup-secondary

  1. Run the command:

mkdir -p /usr/openv/netbackup/db/altnames

  1. Run the command:

touch /usr/openv/netbackup/db/altnames/No.Restrictions
