Deployment Steps

  1. Download the XBSA install package (you can get it from chapter 2.2), upload the XBSA install package to the NetBackup media servers(recommend) master servers or clients.
  2. Execute the following command to install the package (take rpm package for example and the install package name is: sf-vmbackup-app-1.0.0-1.x86_64.rpm ):

sudo rpm -ivh sf-vmbackup-app-1.0.0-1.x86_64.rpm

  1. After installing sf-vmbackup-app, a client certificate will be generated. This certificate is required when adding the XBSA App. For details, see section 2.8.3.
