Sangfor Platform Configuration

{{ $t('productDocDetail.updateTime') }}: 2026-01-01

There are some agentless backup configurations (Scheduled Backup > Settings) on the sangfor platform, which will limit the backup rate from various dimensions to avoid excessive backup business traffic and affect production business. The following are some options that may significantly affect backup performance:

Interface for Backup Data Transfer in LAN Mode: used to configure the backup data transmission network port of the HCI host.

Here, the management interface is used by default. You can choose an idle network interface or reuse other network interface. The network between the backup data transmission network port and the XBSA App must be connected, otherwise it will cause backup failure.

Backup Transfer Speed per Node : since the backup data transmission network port of the HCI host can be reused with other network ports (such as the management communication port), if the speed limit is not performed at this time, it may cause the backup business to occupy the network bandwidth of other businesses; when the backup data transmission network port reuses other functional network ports, it is recommended to configure this option to protect business stability.

Transfer Speed per Backup Task: used to configure the network bandwidth limit for reading disks through SFVDDK during agentless backup. The default value is 800Mbps and the configurable range is 8-2400Mbps. This configuration item limits the network bandwidth limit of a single backup data transmission connection.

Max Tasks per Datastore: used to configure the total number of disks that can be opened on a single production storage when configuring agentless backup. The default value is 10 and the configurable range is 2-256. This option is used to limit the IO utilization of production storage by agentless backup to prevent backup applications from occupying IO resources of production business. It can be configured on demand.

In order to ensure the best backup and recovery performance, as well as RPO and RTO, the following suggestions are made:

  1. Configure an independent and dedicated transmission network interface for the " Interface for Backup Data Transfer in LAN Mode " configuration item to ensure sufficient transmission network bandwidth.

  1. Select ‘Unlimited speed’ for ‘Backup Transfer Speed per Node ‘.
  2. if the read IO performance of the HCI node is ok, "Transfer Speed per Backup Task " and " Max Tasks per Datastore " should be as large as possible.
