To create a backup policy on SCP, follow these steps:

1. Click Backup Policies to enter the backup policy management page. Then click New to start configuring the backup policy. Select the VM to be added to the policy.

2. Configure the trigger times, frequencies, backup retention and encrypt transfer for incremental and full backups.

If you need to back up to a second netbackup platform, you can add a backup configuration by clicking Add Backup Configuration.

3. Select the target NetBackup server, storage location, and the XBSA App to be used for the backup.

4. Enter the policy name and description.

5. You can monitor the status of virtual machine backups through the logs in SCP.

6. You can also view the virtual machine backup policy and  status through NetBackup.
