Leveraging the agentless backup capability provided by the Sangfor Cloud Platform, the XBSA App can back up virtual machines from the sangfor platform to a third-party backup system. By integrating with the XBSA SDK provided by NetBackup, virtual machines can be backed up directly to NetBackup. The principle is illustrated in Figure 1-1.

Using the backup process as an example: when a user initiates a backup task on SCP, SCP forwards the backup request to the XBSA App. The XBSA App then calls SCP’s API to create a snapshot, uses SFVDDK to read the changed data from the snapshot, and writes the data directly to the NBU storage media via the XBSA SDK, completing the backup.
